Visits with family and friends

Sorry I haven't written anything in a while... I thought I would just give an update on what's been going on with us the past week or so.
Last weekend we were able to visit with some of my dearest friends and also meet two new little boys! First we got to meet John Stanley Ragland. Abigail fell in love with him and wanted to help his mommy change his diaper, swaddle him, and put his pacifier in his mouth. She told me while we were there " I like him!" Then she fell in love again, this time with William Fann, my best friend's new baby (in the picture). She was so happy she even started smiling these fake smiles for the camera. She kept kissing and hugging William over and over again!

William's mommy Amanda is moving to Sumter, SC from Idaho this week. Her husband is in the air force and this is their next move. We're glad she's back in the south! It is always a blessing to see her-I only wish it could happen more! The four of us best friends were able to be together again,
only this time we had Abigail and William too! We met up with our husbands for dinner at Red Lobster. It's fun to see how our friendship of four has expanded! These are friendships that have stood the test of time-over 20 years-and still stand as strong as ever. What a gift!

Tuesday we went to a beautiful place called The Whitestone Inn. Check out the website (www.whitestoneinn.com). We stayed in the Cardinal Room. Gretchen (Jon's sister- in the picture) asked Jon to speak at the Winshape retreat for foster parents there. Abigail loved having special time with Aunt
Gretchen! We loved it too, and loved being in such a beautiful
place to get away, even if it was just for a day! Posted by Picasa

Yeah, since when do you get to see John Stanley when we're right here? Isn't that cheesy smile fun (not) thankfully they out grow it pretty quickly or take a break from it until adulthood...
