This week we went back to Chattanooga for a day to say good-bye to our dear friends, the Youngs. They are headed to Spain in about a week and a half, and we wanted to have a little more time with them before they left. You can find out more about them at Keri's blog or their family blog. Their family has become so special to us over the past 2 years and we feel as if we've known them for much longer. Keri has become a treasured friend to me-we have spent many hours together and have had many wonderful conversations about parenting, books, our futures, struggles, ministry, and so much more. She is someone who really knows me and loves me anyway.
Their daughter Rachel has also become a treasured friend to Abigail! They have also spent many hours together, playing doctor, coloring on the walls with marker : ), arguing over who is right about something, giggling, playing at the mall, eating chick-fil-a, going to the nutcracker...I could go on and on. The girls hardly let go of each other the whole time they were together on Monday. It was so sweet. They have already been writing each other letters and coloring pictures and mailing them to each other. We hope they stay close even as they are apart.
Here are some pictures of our day together.
We love you- David, Keri, Rachel, and Mathis. We will miss you but will hold you close in our hearts!
